Short circuits. Alright, he knew what was going on here at least in that regard. After trying to see -how- the short circuits had gotten to this point (it would have been fairly obvious to see if the wires had been tampered with, or if the system had been overloaded to bypass the SCPD), he started repairing - despite the intensely loud noise coming from down the corridor - the SCPD itself in order to make sure the short circuits would, well, not short... circuit. Electrical terms sure were terms, okay? After that seemed to be working again, he went up to the actual door of the turbolift and, if he'd done that wiring correctly, it should have opened, and let him into the turbolift where the voice recognition device would probably be in the inside panel, if it was anything similar to Starfleet's turbolifts of course. "Okay, here's to hoping this will just open... no problem..." he said as he like, did that thing where you waved your hand trying to set off the motion sensor of a paper towel dispenser.
